Autumn in Morocco

Travel to MoroccoMorocco is perhaps one of the all round best adventure destinations for the international traveler. It's easy to get to - only a 6 hour flight from New York. For the active traveler, there is hiking and cycling galore. For the cultural adventurer, Morocco is a virtual treasure trove of sights, sounds, smells and tastes that are extremely accessible to both the first time visitor as well as the seasoned veteran. Autumn is an outstanding time to visit. Temperatures are still warm, but comfortable, the peak summer rush is over, so you can mingle with the locals and not the crowds.

For the hard core active traveler, nothing beats summiting Morocco's highest peak, Mt. Toubkal. Standing a little over 13,600', Mt. Toubkal towers over the Atlas Mountains with spectacular views.  Our 8 day Mt. Toubkal Climb starts from $702 and is available September 5th, 12th and 19th.

Hiking in the Atlas MountainsFor hikers seeking a more relaxed pace, our 8 day Atlas Panorama makes use of a charming central base located in the lush and remote village of Tijhza. This center-based adventure starts from only $630 and is available September 12th, 19th, October 10th 17th and 31st.

For anyone with solid mountain biking experience, our 8 day Atlas Descent provides spectacular endless descents on fast gravel pistes, single track and donkey tracks, and is the product of 10 years research and fine tuning for the off-road enthusiast. Camel trek in Moroccan SaharaFor adventurers seeking a more cultural focus, we have four outstanding itineraries available this fall.  Marrakech & The Sahara is an 8 day journey starting in Ouarzazate, crossing the beautiful Draa Valley into the secluded and beautiful town of Nakhla, where you transfer to camel for a ride into the desert and spend a night with the Bedouins before returning to Zagora and visiting the famed Kasbah at Ait Benhaddou, the villages of the Atlas Mountains and finally Marrakech. Starting at only $648, this unique week of adventure is available September 12th, 26th, October 17th and 31st.

Imperial Moroccan citiesImperial Cities and Coast is the ideal trip for culture and history enthusiasts. Starting in the magnificent city of Fez, this 8 day whistle-stop tour takes in the roman ruins of Volubilis, the Imperial cities of Meknes and Rabat, the vibrant and beautiful Marrakech and the charming seaport of Essaouira.  Starting from $819, this tour is available September 12th, 26th and October 17th.

For anyone wanting to combine a city experience with leisurely walks in the beautiful Atlas mountains, our 8 day Marrakech, Mountains & Coast is the perfect fit. Participant Perspective

What did you like most about your trip?

"It was a great group of people. Our group leader took very good care of us making sure we always had water, snacks and our bikes were working. The riding was challenging with a wide variety of terrain. This was definately one of the better adventure trips that I have ever taken."
