Galapagos & Conquistador Adventure
42 days - from $
This is the ultimate journey - a trip that boasts the very best that South America has to offer. Four days in the Galapagos is time enough to get a great taste of what is to be seen and experienced in this wonderland of nature. On board our boat the M.V. Darwin we cruise in comfort with newly-made friends. The itinerary packs a punch, but there is still time to relax. In just a few short days we come face-to-face with an incredible range of land and marine animals, including birds. We then return to Quito, second of the Inca capitals, and head eastward for a brief excursion into the great Amazon River basin. After spending time in the Andes, we descend into the Sechura Desert on our way to Lima. Continuing our journey in Peru, we stop in Nazca and Arequipa, before arriving at the Inca heartland of Cusco. We explore this amazing Inca city before taking to the mountain trails on a 4-day trek to Machu Picchu. Next stop is an island homestay on fabled Lake Titicaca before we complete our journey in La Paz, commercial capital of modern Bolivia.
