Andes and Beyond - Reverse

10 days - from $

Having explored the main colonial sights of the Chilean capital, we climb steeply into the Andes and pass towering Mount Aconcagua before descending to the beautiful wine-growing region of Mendoza, in Argentina. We can sample some of the region's great wines on our winery tour and there is also time to discover the town and enjoy some great optional outdoor activities. Further inland, we come to the geographical centre of Argentina at the university city of Cordoba. Founded by Jesuit missionaries more than 400 years ago, Cordoba retains a strong colonial history, as we discover on a walking tour of the city. Our final stop will be in 'Tango Town' - stylish and lively Buenos Aires, home to nearly 14 million inhabitants and one of the most exciting cities in Latin America.
