China Escape15 days - from $
This comprehensive China adventure covers the natural highlights of this great
country and also takes you ‘off the beaten track’, to see and do things many other travellers
miss out on. We start in the bustle of the capital, Beijing, where we explore the major places of
interest, including the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. From there, we travel to Xiahe and see the most important Tibetan monastry outside Lhasa, before exploring the mysterious town of Langmusi and
having the option of visiting the famous national park of Jiuzhaigou or going horseriding in Songpan. We journey to Sichuan, famous for its spicy food, and come face-to-face with giant pandas at a breeding centre near Sichuan’s capital, Chengdu. The tour ends in the culturally diverse Kunming. A special highlight is the tranquil Tibetan grasslands area of Gansu, where we appreciate the beauty of the countryside and immerse ourselves in the culture.
