Marvel at the temple to the goddess Artemis, the ancient Anatolian city of Alabanda and cycle through the pine forests at Geynik Lake. Visit quiet villages, beautiful countryside and meet local people renowned for their charm, friendliness and hospitality. The days are varied and balanced, with plenty of flat riding and downhill stretches, and lots of time for a cooling swim in the many lakes and rivers en route. The terrain is varied but not arduous, with vehicle assistance on hand to take your luggage between a mixture of hotels and village houses along the route. The trip finishes with time to relax and unwind in the small town of Dalyan, shopping, swimming and sunbathing, or for the more adventurous.
Itinerary:
Day 1 Start Fethiye. 2 Transfer to Tuzla Beli; ride to Kirazli Yayli, Cameli and Gölhisar Lake; transfer to Açipayam. 3 Transfer to Salda Lake, cycle to Cardak and visit the Caravansaray, a major highlight of the 'Silk Road'; transfer to Pamukkale. 4 Transfer to Bozdag village, then ride downhill to Gölcuk Lake and continue to Selcuk. 5 Morning visit to temple at Ephesus (entry optional); transfer to Söke, ride to Lake Bafa. 6 Final day of cycling from Ula to Koycegiz Lake and Sultaniye; transfer by boat to Dalyan. 7 Free day for beach, shopping, swimming and relaxation. 8 End Dalyan.
