Deep in the heart of the Telemark ski region, the Fjellstoge sits at nearly 1000m in the Kvitavatn cross-country ski area. Our groups have enjoyed the location for many years, but it is also ideal for independent activities. With 120km of varied cross-country skiing trails through forests and open country, there is plenty to explore. Added to this are excellent off-track touring options in all directions as well as the nearby downhill piste for those who prefer alpine skiing and snowboarding: there is plenty of good quality rental equipment on site to ensure you make the most of the surroundings. The slopes are ideal for beginners and intermediates, and there is a designated area for children. Snowshoes can also be hired and instruction is available locally for all Nordic disciplines. Your time here can be as action-packed, or as relaxed, as you want it to be.

Accommodation: Kvitavatn Fjellstoge ** LodgeThe warm and welcoming Fjellstoge has the informal atmosphere of a mountain lodge. Meal arrangements include breakfast buffet, self-made packed lunch and self-service dinner. The main building has a lounge and a large dining room with spectacular views of Gausta. Standard accommodation is in a separate building, 30 metres from the main lodge. We use 3/4-bunk rooms, and 2-bunk rooms (supplement payable), all with washbasin only: shower, sauna, toilets and drying-room are shared. In an adjacent building there are comfortable twin-bedded rooms with private facilities (supplement payable).
