Situated at the head of a large glacial valley, Lake Bohinj is one of the largest lakes in Slovenia. Our base for the week is a comfortable 3-star hotel nestled close to the shores, allowing perfect access for all the activities and is only a short distance from the bustling lakeside resort of Bled. With guided walks, canoe explorations across the lake, climbing and cycle tours around the local area, we will explore the best of what this stunning location has to offer while enjoying some fun activities. For those wanting even more adventure, whitewater rafting on the Sava river or a day swinging through the trees on a high ropes course can also be arranged.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Start Bohinj. 2 A guided exploratory walk around the tranquil shores of Lake Bohinj and local area. 3 Morning canoeing on Lake Bohinj across to Pod Skalco for instruction on a climbing wall, followed by a gentle paddle back to the hotel. 4 Half day tour around the pretty resort of Lake Bled. Free afternoon; optional whitewater rafting on the aquamarine waters of the River Sava. 5 Free day; Optional visit to an adrenaline park with exciting high ropes course. 6 Guided cycling in and around the local villages and into the Triglav National Park. 7 Day hiking amongst the limestone peaks in the Triglav National Park. 8 End Bohinj.

Accommodation: 7 nights at the Bohinj Zlatorog Hotel. The Hotel Zlatorog is located along the banks of the Sava River just a few steps from Lake Bohinj. Set amidst beautiful mountain scenery, the hotel has a swimming pool, tennis courts, restaurant and wireless internet access. All rooms have en suite facilities.
