On this trip we discover the beautiful Italian coastline by boat and on foot, taking in the winding streets of Amalfi and Positano. The blue Meditteranean waters are also very inviting and complimentary transfers can be arranged from our hotel to a great selection of local beaches. Located in Bomerano, a small village in the hills above Amalfi, our friendly family-run hotel is just a few minutes from the famous' Walk of the Gods'. Time spent on the island of Capri and at the impressive sites of Vesuvius and Pompeii ensure that the week will live long in the memory. Itinerary:Day 1 Start Bomerano 2 Boat trip from Amalfi to Positano; stroll among the winding streets of Positano. 3 Full day to visit impressive sites of Pompei and Vesuvius. 4 Local walk for great views of peninsula; visit mozzarella factory; afternoon discover picturesque Amalfi. 5 Free day to relax by the beach or for sightseeing. 6 Walk along a short section of 'Walk of the Gods'; evening see Amalfi by night. 7 Take boat to impressive island of Capri; optional visit to Blue Lagoon. 8 End Bomerano Mode of travel: Flights direct with British Airways. Transport minibus, boat and on foot. Group size: Normally 4 to 16, plus leader. Accommodation: We spend 7 nights in a family run 3 star hotel in Bomerano. Hotel Due Torri is well known for its great local cuisine and fun pizza-making demonstrations. Being higher up in the hills offers the benefit of cooler nights although beaches are not too far away and complimentary transfers can be arranged whenever you would like a quick dip in clear Mediterranean waters. Food: 7 breakfasts, 5 dinners and 4 lunches included.
