Camels & Kasbahs - Family Holiday

8 days - from $810

Camel trek in the Sahara Camp in a kasbah Snake charmers and slipper makers in Marrakech
Although close to home, Morocco is a world away! Take an impressive journey through beautiful palm groves of the Draa Valley before arriving in the amazing Sahara Desert for our first highlight - a camel safari ride, some wonderful nomad hospitality and camping under the desert stars. On our journey north, we pass Kasbah Taourit and then visit the magnificent Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou - the perfect backdrop to many Hollywood films including Gladiator. Nestled in the Atlas Mountains near the ruined fortress of Telouet is the village of Tijzha, where we spend the night with the local Berbers (and maybe even enjoy a game of football with the local schoolchildren!). Our final treat is the colourful souks, palaces and mosques of Marrakech, which comes alive at night with snake charmers, travelling musicians, acrobats and storytellers.
