South Africa's Cape offers endless opportunities for the nature lover and wildlife enthusiast. Addo Elephant National Park is home to an enormous variety of wildlife and offers excellent game viewing. The stunning coast and spectacular scenery of the Garden Route make this journey a memorable experience. We visit beautiful beaches, the magnificent landscapes of the Little Karoo with its fruit farms and vineyards and the Cape Peninsula, historically known as 'The Gateway to Africa'. The playful penguin colony at Boulders Beach are a real highlight before we finish our journey in the vibrant, cultural and fun city of Cape Town.
Itinerary:
Day 1 Start Port Elizabeth; afternoon free to explore or relax on beach. 2 Short drive to Addo Elephant N.P.; optional afternoon game drive. 3 Full day in park with game drives. 4 To Tsitsikamma N.P. Boardwalk to suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth; to Knysna.. 5 Full day to enjoy the beach, coastal walks, swimming or visit Monkey Land. 6 Visit Knysna Heads, optional boat trip to Feather Bed Nature Reserve; to Oudtshoorn. 7 Visit ostrich farm and Cango Caves; optional cheetah breeding centre visit. 8 Long drive to Hermanus for whale watching (in season) or walks. 9 To Cape Town; exciting full day tour of the Cape Peninsula with visits to Boulders Beach penguin colony and Cape Point Nature Reserve. 10 Morning optional cable car ride up Table Mountain (weather dependant). Optional visits to Robben Island or Aquarium. 11 Free day in Cape Town. 12 Free morning in Cape Town for shopping, township tour or walk. End Cape Town.
Mode of travel: Flights via Jo'burg (outbound only) with South African Airways. Transport minibus.

Accommodation: 9 nights 3 star hotels/guesthouses, 2 nights chalets. Good standard of accommodation throughout. We stay in chalets near Addo N.P. which are situated in beautiful grounds overlooking the Sunday's River. In Cape Town our hotel is in a central location, a few minutes walk from the restaurants and cafes of Kloof Street and the Company Gardens. The waterfront is just a short drive away.
