Borneo is home to some of the most diverse and beautiful wildlife in the whole of South East Asia. Starting with a visit to majestic Mt Kinabalu, we then continue to one of the trip highlights - the pristine Danum Valley. A nature lover's paradise, whose beauty and animals are equalled only by Sarawak and the World Heritage Mulu National Park with its immense cave system and and the oldest rainforest in the world. We come face to face with Orang-utans at Semenggok and Sepilok sanctuaries, stay at a bamboo longhouse in Sabah on a tea plantation, and finish the trip relaxing at the beach, and we also have the chance to spot the elusive Irrawaddy dolphins.
Itinerary:
Day 1 Start Kota Kinabalu. 2 Full day exploring Mt Kinabalu N.P. and Sabah tea plantation. 3 Sunrise walk to view Mt Kinabalu, with plantation tour; transfer to Sandakan. 4 Boat ride to Sepilok mangrove and forest reserve; wildlife spotting en route to our jungle lodge. 5 Visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre with its 147m canopy walkway ideal for bird watching, and Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary. 6 Travel to the Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary where we go on jungle walks and river cruises, visiting the bizarre Gomantong caves en route. 7 Excursions into forest where we hope to see elephants, Orang-utans and endemic bird life. 8 To Danum Valley Conservation Area, a vast area of protected lowland forest; afternoon nature walk. 9 A full day with expert local guides exploring this reserve, home to gibbons, Orang-utans, elephants and hundreds of different bird species. 10 Fly to Kota Kinabalu; free afternoon to explore the bustling Filipino markets. 11 Free day. 12 Fly to Mulu N.P.; sunset walk to Deer Cave for spectacular bat exodus. 13 Full day exploring the park. 14 Day to relax or enjoy optional activities. 15 Fly to Kuching, capital of Sarawak. 16 Morning visit Semenggok Orang-utan Centre; afternoon at Sarawak museum. 17 Day trip to Bako N.P., famous for its Proboscis monkeys, found only in Borneo. 18 Relocate to the Santubong Peninsula with its golden sand to relax by the beach for two nights. 19 Morning visit to Sarawak Cultural Village; afternoon free. 20 Return to Kuching with a boat trip to spot the Irrawaddy dolphins en route. End Kuching.

It combines a real jungle experience with all the comforts of an international-class resort while only accommodating a maximum of 60 guests, and employs naturalist guides who accompany us on all our walks.
