An iconic journey through the dramatic landscapes of the southwest
From the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to the glittering city of Las Vegas, we take in the diverse highlights of the American southwest. The scale of Yosemite's pine-clad cliffs, waterfalls and giant sequoia will amaze along with the dark red hue of Zion's sheer rock walls. Walking amongst the multi-coloured stone towers (hoodoos) at Bryce Canyon is perhaps the most enchanting experience as each one seems to come alive in the changing sunlight. We save the best for last, ending our exploration with two days hiking at the incredible Grand Canyon - a mile deep and stretching for 277 miles in length! Every unforgettable moment of this classic journey will leave you in awe. 

Itinerary:

Day 1 Start San Francisco. 2 Brief tour of San Francisco; drive to Yosemite N.P. 3 Yosemite N.P. daywalk. 4 Morning walk; drive over Tioga Pass into the desert of the Eastern Sierra; visit Mono Lake. 5 Travel to Zion N.P. 6 Hike Angel's Landing and wade in the Narrows. 7 Morning walk in beautiful canyon; to Bryce N.P. for sunset rim walk. 8 Full day of walking in Bryce Canyon N.P. 9 Drive to Lake Powell; free afternoon for optional boat trip or slot canyon hike. 10 To Monument Valley; optional jeep excursion with Navajo guides. 11 To Grand Canyon; late afternoon walk. 12 Full day of walking/sightseeing in the Grand Canyon. 13 Optional helicopter flight or sunrise walk; afternoon drive to Las Vegas; enjoy an evening along the famous Strip. 14 End Las Vegas.
