Experience the wonders of the land of the Incas on this short but comprehensive journey to some of the highlights of this mysterious empire. We'll spend a week in Peru's stunning Urubamba Valley, hiking the network of paths that became known as the Inca Trail, tour the Sacred Valley and visit the incredible sight of Machu Picchu, perched upon a ridge surrounded by mountains. We'll overland across the high plains of the Altiplano heading for Lake Titicaca, taking boat trips out to the Uros Islands and the Isla del Sol, birthplace of the sun and moon in Inca mythology. We end our trip in Bolivia's capital La Paz, highest city in the world.

This short but comprehensive trip from Peru to Bolivia is ideal for travellers who want to experience Machu Picchu and visit Lake Titicaca in under a fortnight. 70% of passengers choose our exclusive week-long ‘Community Inca Trail’ through the Urubamba Valley. As well as staying with our Quechuan Indian hosts to learn about their culture, you’ll be trekking an ancient trade route which is unique to Dragoman. After trekking, you can sit back and relax as we overland across the highest plateau outside of Tibet, the Altiplano before heading to Lake Titicaca where we visit the indigenous Uros people who have built their homes on tiny floating islands of reeds. You’ll also stay in the quaint lakeside town of Copacabana from where you can visit the Isla del Sol, birthplace of the sun in Inca mythology. The trip ends in Bolivia’s capital, La Paz.
