This two-week trip offers a fantastic Okavango experience. The tour includes a range of different activities including game drives, boating safaris, mokoro excursions and bush walks. Highlights on this tour include visits to Hwange NP, the Makgadikgadi Pans, the Moremi Game Reserve, the Okavango Delta, Chobe NP and of course mighty Victoria Falls.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Victoria Falls Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. In the evening there will be a pre-departure meeting with your guide. Overnight at the Amadeus Guesthouse or similar.

Day 2-3: VICTORIA FALLS to HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE After breakfast we depart for Hwange National Park and if time permits, enjoy an optional game drive. The next day, we explore Hwange NP on a full day’s game drive. Overnights at the Ivory Lodge or similar.

Day 4: HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE to NATA, BOTSWANA After an early ride, we leave Hwange NP and enter Botswana where we head south with a chance of spotting game along the way. Arriving in the afternoon in time to relax and watch elephants venture to the watering hole for a drink. Overnight at the Elephant Sands Lodge or similar.

Day 5: NATA to MAUN This morning, we head to the Nata Bird Sanctuary for breakfast before travelling to Maun – gateway to the Okavango Delta. Overnight at the Thamalakane River Lodge or similar.

Days 6: KHWAI RIVER Renowned for its large concentration of mammals, we make our way to our camp in a private concession in time for an afternoon game drive. Overnight at the Khwai Bedouin Camp or similar.

Day 7: MOREMI GAME RESERVE Today, we head into the famous Moremi game reserve, known as one of the most beautiful and varied reserves in Africa. The full day is spent in the unspoiled nature of Moremi. Overnight at the Khwai Bedouin Camp or similar.

Day 8: KHWAI RIVER In our open s4x4 safari vehicle, we once again have the opportunity to spend a full day game driving in the Khwai area followed by a night drive with the chance to spot rare, nocturnal wildlife. Overnight at the Khwai Bedouin Camp or similar.

Day 9-10: OKAVANGO DELTA Early in the morning we leave the Khwai area and drive into the highlight of Botswana – the Okavango Delta. Here, spend the next two nights exploring the delta by mokoros and bush walks spotting wildlife in this water-filled paradise. Overnights at the Guma Lagoon Camp or similar.

Day 11: TSODILO HILLS & MAHANGU NATIONAL PARK, NAMIBIA Today we leave the lush wetlands of the Delta and enter Namibia visiting Tsodilo Hills and enjoying a short walk to view rock paintings. Afterwards, we make our way to our lodge for an afternoon game drive. Overnight at the Rainbow River Lodge or similar.

Day 12-13: MAHANGU NATIONAL PARK to CHOBE NATIONAL PARK Today, we continue our safari through the Caprivi Strip before reaching Chobe National Park. The morning of day 13 is spent on a spectacular game drive in Chobe, followed by a boat cruise along the Chobe River watching your own wildlife picture-show as you cruise. Overnights at Kwalape Chalets or similar.

Day 14: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK to VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE Today we leave Botswana behind us and come to the place where it all started – Victoria Falls. Enjoy the Falls with a guided tour followed by leisure time in the afternoon partaking in many of the optional adventurous activities in the area. Overnight at the Lokuthula Lodges or similar.

Day 15: VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the onward journey.
