Adventure Center has its roots in overland expeditions across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Back in the '70s, small groups of adventurous travelers crossed continents in army surplus trucks. Since then things have become a lot more sophisticated, with many of the vehicles now built by Mercedes, and many more itinerary choices to accommodate travelers with less time.

Some (but not all) of the rough edges have been taken off the overland adventure travel experience, which is still one of the best ways to travel for those looking for a participatory and authentic travel experience.
