Marrakech is an exotic and vibrant world - only a few hours from London but a different universe. You’ll see the city from the comfort of a horse-drawn calesh and discover the colourful main square filled with jugglers, musicians and acrobats.

Leaving the bustle behind, you head up into the Atlas Mountains where you’ll experience something of the Berber way of life. Explore local villages on foot (with mules for the children) and enjoy plenty of fresh mountain air.

An old Portuguese port and pirates' lair, Essaouira offers a beautifully preserved walled town with a maze of narrow streets, and a long stretch of sandy beach. Kick back, enjoy fantastic seafood, watch the fishermen bringing in the catch and play on the beach!

Day 1 Fly to Marrakech Day 2 Marrakech city tour; calesh ride Day 3 Ourika Day 4 Ourika; walks & mule trek in Atlas mountains Day 5 Essaouira; walled port and beach Day 6 Essaouira; walled port and beach Day 7 Marrakech Day 8 Fly home

Transport, accommodation and meals: Transport- Minibus, mule, calesh (horse-drawn carriage), on foot. Distinctive Accommodation- Hotels (7nts) You’ll stay in comfortable en suite accommodation. Meals included- 7 breakfasts & 2 picnic lunches. Swimming opportunities- On the beach in Essaouira and in hotels in Marrakech and Ourika.
Other costs: International airfare not included. Airport tax abroad not included.
Other info: Minimum age: 2 years. All walks are designed for small children and mule support is provided in the mountains. A couple of longer drives to and from Essaouira. Child and booster seats are not provided, though our transport does have seatbelts.
