Combine spectacular Victoria Falls with the unspoilt wildlife haven that is northern Botswana Victoria Falls, or 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' as it's known by the locals, is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and is truly an unforgettable sight! We spend one night in this exciting region and include a tour of the falls themselves - be prepared to get very wet! Our lodge is beautifully situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, just a couple of kilometres upstream from spectacular Victoria Falls.

Our next stop is Chobe National Park, famous for its large buffalo herds and home to Africa's largest elephant population. As well as game drives, a cruise on the Chobe River gives us a wonderful and somewhat different way of viewing the wildlife, as elephants, hippos and giraffes come down to the banks to quench their thirst. Botswana is a diverse country, rich in culture and spectacular scenery, none more so than the pristine natural wonderland of the Okavango Delta. Here we spend three nights on the edge of the game-rich Moremi Reserve, which provides an excellent base for exploring the Khwai River region in open safari vehicles and the Delta with an optional Mokoro excursion.

Itinerary:

Day 1: (Sun) Arrive Livingstone and transfer to riverside accommodation. Afternoon guided visit to Victoria Falls.2: Cross border into Botswana by ferry. Sunset cruise on Chobe River.3: Safari in Chobe National Park. Afternoon village walk.4: Early morning drive south via Makgadikgadi Pans. Afternoon hike to elephant waterhole.5-6: Morning bush walk before heading to Maun and Khwai River area. Full day drive in the African bush.7: Explore Moremi Game Reserve. Optional mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) excursion.8: Transfer to Maun Airport after breakfast, where tour ends on arrival (Sun).
