Cape Town Extension - Standard

5 days - from $560

Dominated by the picturesque Table Mountain, Cape Town offers a myriad of things to see and do Cape Town is a place where old and new harmoniously converge – in history, architecture, cultural pursuits and the essence of its people. The Cape's vibrant and cosmopolitan character emerges from a rich history of African, Indonesian and varied European influences. The city is dominated by a towering, table-shaped mountain, set on a peninsula of soaring, rocky heights and lush valleys. The Cape's allure comes from the successful meshing of the bright lights and fast pace of a great urban centre with the immense natural beauty of the area. Spectacular countryside, romantic beaches and majestic mountains surround it. South of the city is Cape Point, where you can see both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The Waterfront district boasts excellent restaurants, great shopping and a relaxed atmosphere. To the west is the isolated and wind swept Robben Island, for many years home to the world’s most famous political prisoner, Nelson Mandela. To the east are the noted wine growing regions of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, where a few pleasant hours can be spent sampling South Africa's finest wine. All this ensures that Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa, is a great option at the beginning or end of any safari.

Throughout this extension you will be based at the Hotel Graeme. This hotel has 35 elegantly refurbished rooms and is situated in Greenpoint and a short walk from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and city centre.
