Safari in the Maasai Mara
Arriving in Nairobi, we take a morning flight into the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and transfer directly to our tented camp for a three night stay. Our time here is spent enjoying the immense African wilderness and searching for wildlife during several early morning and late afternoon game drives. In the middle of the day when the sun is high and wildlife inactive, enjoy a leisurely lunch, cool swim and a siesta, then out for another game drive. Night can be as memorable as day in Africa: listen to the nocturnal calls of the wild under a magical starlit sky.

Rolling Grasslands & Plentiful Predators
On safari our experienced driver/guides slowly follow the Mara's dirt roads through open rolling grassland and wooded savannah in search of big game. Wildlife residing here includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, hartebeest, topi, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, impala and some black rhino. Predators are plentiful, with large prides of lion plus cheetah and leopard. Over 450 species of birds have been recorded and the gallery forests which flank the Mara and Talek rivers host acrobatic primates. And for a unique bird's eye view of the vast plains you could always take a balloon flight!
