   Nile Cruise - 2010/11 Itinerary10 days - from $710• Cruise the Nile Valley in our small, exclusive and informal riverboat Great Antiquities Itinerary:Day 1 Join the tour in Cairo. Days 2/3 Cairo We visit the magnificent Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum; then a free day with options to take a trip to Saqqara or Cairo's Islamic sites before our overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Days 4/5 Karnak Staying aboard our Nile riverboat, we have two days to explore Luxor's treasures; possibly the richest concentration of archaeological wonders in the western world. We take a calesh to Karnak Temple and trek by donkey to Hatshepsut's Temple & visit the Valley of the Kings before setting sail to Edfu. Day 6 Nile Cruise Aboard our privately chartered Nile riverboat, we absorb the traditional way of life along the river and stop to see the great temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo. Days 7/8 Aswan The colourful town of Aswan with its thriving markets is a fascinating place to explore. We'll have the opportunity to visit Philae Temple and Abu Simbel or to take a camel trek to St Simeon's Monastery. Day 9 Luxor We drive to Luxor and have time for last minute shopping in the bustling souks. Day 10 Tour ends in Luxor. Note: Certain cruises may operate on an alternative itinerary, with 6 nights aboard the Nile riverboat. |
