Great Antiquities
Cairo is a hectic city with plenty of atmosphere to interest the traveller, from the bustling bazaars to the skyline of mosques whose call to prayer rings out across the city. We'll visit the Pyramids and Sphinx and of course see the exquisite collection of artefacts in the Egyptian museum.
Aboard our Riverboat
Travelling along the Nile Valley by train, we reach Luxor - a town almost as ancient as time itself. Here we make a donkey trek to Hatshepsut Temple & the Valley of the Kings, then explore Karnak's colossal Temple of Amun. Aboard our private chartered Nile riverboat we absorb the traditional way of life along the river and stop to see the great temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo; dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek.
Exploring Aswan
Arriving in Aswan, we can shop in the bazaar or take trips into the desert - perhaps visiting the famous rock-cut temple of Abu Simbel or joining a camel trek across the desert to the abandoned Monastery of St Simeon. Finally we return to Luxor.
