Mt Toubkal Winter Climb
8 Days - from $1100
Quiet trails, clear air and magnificent views of the stunning High Atlas
During the winter months, Mt Toubkal and the surrounding peaks of the High Atlas turn into a winter walkers' paradise. It is a great time to visit: the mountains are virtually deserted apart from the local Berbers and a handful of enthusiasts. The air is clear, rewarding us with spectacular views over the Toubkal Massif and as far as the Anti Atlas Mountain Range to the south. Starting from fascinating Marrakech we venture right into the heart of the High Atlas to climb North Africa's highest peak (4167m). Crampons and ice axes may be required on some of the days, but this trip is designed to be non-technical and achievable by those who are enthusiastic and fit, even if they are new to winter walking.
