Chateau in the Loire
Bikes outside a wine cellar in the Loire Valley

Loire Cycling Weekend

5 Days - from $855

Ride through the rich vineyards of a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Only a short train ride away, the Loire Valley is the perfect place for a weekend break exploring the charming chateaux and enjoying a wine tasting or two in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Loire Valley has been the home of Kings since the 10th century and there are over 300 ornate buildings built in the heyday of the French royalty and nobility, that contribute to the area being known as 'Chateau Country'. Running westward for over 1000km before spilling into the Atlantic Ocean, the Loire is France's longest river, and our cycling loops from the historic market town of Amboise through flourishing vineyards, leafy forests and charming villages. Please note there is also a week long version of this trip also available - see Cycling in the Loire Valley trip (Code: LSR)
