Climb North Africa's highest mountainCharming villages and Berber hospitalityExplore bustling Marrakech
Mt Toubkal, at 4167m, commands superb views of the High Atlas Mountain range. We walk on well-defined mountain paths through charming Berber villages, which gives us an insight into the simple lives of these hardy mountain people. As we climb higher, the paths do become steep and rugged in places, but the reward is dramatic views of sharp granite peaks and green valleys. After climbing to the summit of Mt Toubkal, we finish our Moroccan experience with a day in Marrakech, soaking up the atmosphere of this vibrant and colourful city. An optional ride in a horse-drawn carriage (caleche), is an excellent reward after our week of challenging walking.
