Marrakech & The Sahara
7 Days - from $738
A busy and rewarding one-week adventure encompassing the Sahara Desert, High Atlas Mountains and Marrakech
Southern Morocco is a perfect destination: although hot in the high summer, it is pleasantly warm and usually sunny during the rest of the year. From the desert town of Zagora we travel by camel to the edge of the Sahara, spending the night at a traditional Bedouin camp. Returning north, we visit the 16th century kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Continuing our journey, we head into the High Atlas Mountains passing the crumbling remains of the great palace of Telouet. Nestled in these mountains, in a picturesque and remote valley, is the village of Tijhza and from here we take a short walk. Last but not least, there is time to explore the medina, souks and square of the 'pink city' of Marrakech.
